Nystagmus
Nystagmus is the medical term for the rhythmic wobbling of the eyes. You can see a type of nystagmus by watching the eyes of a passenger who looks outside the window of a moving car or train.
The eyes oscillate back and forth. This is quite normal. However, when nystagmus occurs spontaneously when the person is looking at a stationary object, it is abnormal and may indicate there is something wrong with the eyes or the brain.
